Born and raised in Greenwood, MS, Jamal Rashad always felt there was more to the world than what the eye could see. His pursuit of “The Vizion” led him to places like the deserts of California, the ports of South Korea, and even the top of Mt. Fuji.
Now living as Mars✨ in Minneapolis, they focus on bringing their vizions to life and building community with other Queer Black creatives. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing for Entertainment, a Bachelor of Science in Digital Arts and Design, a Master of Fine Arts in Film Production, and a penchant for immersive storytelling, Mars✨ is determined to help their audience see the world as they do.
